NEW MUSIC ALERT: WILLOW SMITH ‘ARDIPITHECUS’
Willow Smith has finally released her debut album ARDIPITHECUS, named after the first hominid bones found on Earth.
ARDIPITHECUS follows last year’s 3 EP, which dropped on her 14th birthday. The three-track release marked a dynamic change in direction and sound for the 15-year-old, who embraced more a challenging, social conscious, and abstract sound more than on previous singles like “Whip My Hair” and “Fireball,” which featured Nicki Minaj. She was initially supposed to release her debut album Knees and Elbows back in 2012, but it failed to materialize.
