ALBUM REVIEW: Beyonce "Lemonade"

April 25, 2016

Saturday night offered us a nice glass of Lemonade and it was quite SOUR! The Global Superstar Beyonce graced the world with her Album Lemonade. The album may be her best and most personal album to date.

Similar to her last album BEYONCE, she gave us a visual concept to go along with the music. Premiering on HBO Saturday night, Beyonce showcased a woman scorned, torn in between love and loneliness, female empowerment, to the strong standing love and forgiveness for the one you love.

The album as well as visual showcased a Beyonce the world has been waiting to see. Fearless and creative in her own right. She takes full control of her art and you can capture her honesty like never before. She has fully come into her artistry and nothing is off limits and it sets her above the rest.

The album starts of with "Pray You Catch Me" which speaks on a relationship that is falling into turmoil and they are hoping they hear one another and catch one another before its too late.

Some of the albums highlights are; "Sorry" which features world tennis champion Serena Williams as the female lead, "Hold Up", "6 Inch" and the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Freedom" where they speak on the injustices that we have been facing here in America as African Americans.

The album as a whole is 9 out of 9 stars, very well put together, very creative and very straight to the point with its mission both visually and audio. Lemonade just may be Beyonce's best work to date!
