Bobby Brown Asks for your 'Love and Support' for Daughter Bobbi Kristina

Singer Bobby Brown released his first statement to the media since his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was found unconscious in her home and rushed to an Atlanta-area hospital.

"Privacy is requested in this matter," said Bobby Brown via his attorney, Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC in Boston. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

Bobbi Kristina is the only child of Brown and his ex-wife, the late Whitney Houston. She was discovered unconscious in the bathtub of her Roswell, Ga., home on Saturday (Jan. 31) and rushed to the nearby North Fulton Hospital. CNN reports that she has been placed in a medically induced coma; sources tell TMZ that her brain function has "significantly diminished." Brown and family friend Tyler Perry are reportedly at her bedside, according to E!.

On Saturday, Lisa Holland, public information officer for the Roswell Police Department, updated reporters on Brown's condition, saying she was "alive and breathing." After the incident a search warrant had been issued, TMZ reports, but police found no drugs at the residence.

In a tragic coincidence, Houston was found dead in a bathtub on Feb. 11, 2012. Her death was caused by accidental drowning, heart disease and the effects of cocaine use.
