ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Slim Devito

Slim Devito first broke onto the local hip hop scene with Starvation, a group based out of

Maryland. They were featured in XXL as one of Maryland's top ten artists. Their 2012 project

lead to notoriety causing them to open up for Kendrick Lamar at the University of Delaware.

Later that year, Slim Devito debuted his first mixtape titled Whiplash, which has thousands of

downloads to date. He has performed at elite venues such as the Howard Theater, The Fillmore,

Soundstage, Metropolitan Lounge, University of Maryland, Love nightclub and TLA in

Philadelphia. Currently he performs all over the DC area and has just dropped his highly

anticipated mixtape Whiplash 2 featuring some of the DMVs top lyrical artist. He is on the

forefront as one of the best up and coming DMV lyricists.
