ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Ja'ness Tate

I love writing my music and playing for crouds whether it be big or small. I want many people to know me for my music. I hope to encourage and strengthen up people who hear my music.

MP; When did you begin doing Music?

I began singing when I was really young like 5years old and around 7 I began to write songs. When I was 13 I picked up the guitar and taught myself how to play

MP: What inspired you to pursue music?

I always loved music and wanted people to know me for my music but my Grandfather inspired me to pursue guitar before he passed away. Ever since then I was really serious about pursuing my music career

MP: What elements do you look for when it comes to creating music?

I look for relatable things whether it be relationships or sad things or finding yourself etc. it depends on the day and what I'm thinking about to be honest.

MP: What is your view on the current state of music?

I think that the current state of music is really good. Although some music can be degrading to women and men, I think that music has gotten more creative in a way.

MP: What advice do you have for that little boy or girl who wants to do what you do?

My advice would be to keep doing it! Like for real the normal school thing with friends won't last take advantage of your surrondings and practice practice practice it'll help them in the long run

MP: How do you want the listeners to feel after hearing your music?

I want my listeners to feel happy, and I want them to be able to relate and understand. I want them to feel exactly what I felt while writing the song, like i just solved a big problem in my life or something.

MP: Would you consider you music as your personal form of art?

Yes I believe that the way I think and sing and arrange my music is different from a lot of people. I want to share that

MP: What is next for you?

Promoting myself even more than now so people can really know who I am as an artist.

MP: Who currently inspires you in the music industry?

Alicia Keys is my Idol
