MEET RECORDING ARTIST ANai':
A penchant for lyricism and tight vocals come with ease to recording artist Nyiah Tykera Adams aka ANai’. Yet the 21-year-old performer seamlessly shines across multiple stages by way of dance, choreography, modeling, and acting. Born in Washington, DC and raised in Landover, Maryland, ANai’s love for music took root and bloomed early in life. As a child, ANai’ began dancing and singing for the choir at her small church in Southeast Washington, DC. Without formal training, ANai’ took to the task of teaching herself to dance and choreograph. While immersed in her private training, the door opened for ANai’ to join Marcellus Dance Studio followed by Footsteps Dance Academy, where she deepened her knowledge of performance and entertainment. ANai’s discovery of her voice at the age of 12 sparked her love affair with both writing and singing. She would go on to solidify her love in high school where she participated in choir, directed by Michelle Fowlin. Under Fowlin, she gleaned the fundamentals of voice.
Throughout her career, both talent and commitment have afforded ANai’ the opportunity to work with actress/dancer/choreographer Debbie Allen, perform at the 2013 Miss America “Show Me Your Shoes” Parade, perform at the White House for both Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama, participate in numerous high school and recreational plays, serve as captain and choreographer of her high school’s dance team, and dance auxiliary aka “Golden Delight” at North Carolina A&T State University. ANai’ is currently signed to Dream Merchant Records. Her new single produced by Grammy nominated producer Jarod Kingbeatz Barnes and writen by Destiny Moriah "What Do I Do" is expected to drop summer 2018.
