Its a celebration every time we link up (in our Nicki Minaj Voice), this celebration was like no other and the understanding of diversity was the highlight of it all.

We had the privilege to attend and cover Icon Talks & The Motion Picture Association of America PRESENTS "Celebrate Multiculturalism & Diversity", which celebrated the outstanding work and achievements of those who work hard in the field to not only break barriers, but to make strides in diversity.

The honorees of the night included Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Executive VP of Global Relations at Viacom Dede Lea, Head of Multicultural Engagement at AT&T Tanya Lombard, Founder of American Black Film Festival Jeff Friday, Senior VP of Programming Talent Development & Inclusion for NBC Karen Horne and last, but not least Media Personality and Business Owner Angela Yee.

Held the RoofTop on K Street, the event catered to an intimate atmosphere including socialites, radio personalities, TV personalities, Media, even Politicians all of which who are making great names in the DC Area there to celebrate the honorees.

Each honoree gave a profound message and a general concise of understanding inclusion is needed for anything to move and go forward.

We were delighted to be in the presence of some of America's key figures and the opportunity was great. The Key take away's were knowing of one's self, understanding the work ethic of which you bring to the table, the mindful idea of setting the example and helping with opening the door and making sure that more of every walk of life are included in today's entertainment realm.

The event in entirety was an experience that you cannot get back. As a media personality it was astonishing to hear such triumphs and such barriers put forth for each honoree and solidified the true aspiration in life which is I can make it.
