This summer has been quite the experience thus far, I mean everything is freaking open so why not go out and enjoy. From award shows to festivals, everything has been quite popping, but it all started on the day summer officially begins for us in the Black Community and that's Memorial Day.
Recording Artist Pinky Killacorn performing on Stage at the First Annual 'Crabs & Dabs' Pop Up Festival and Cookout
A beautiful day full of cookouts, family, friends, loads of drinking, maybe a firework or two to start it off, great laughs, epic music and good ‘ol crabs. That’s right crabs are our thing here in the DMV and once you visit and taste you will see why.
So of course I ran to the offer of covering the First Annual ‘Crabs & Dabs’ Pop Up Festival and Cookout presented by 777 & Ultimate Fitness. Man oh man did I enjoy myself, from the epic music, the epic people, the epic food, the epic vendors, as you can see the event was EPIC! Held in a private location in the heart of Fort Washington, the festival saw a complete line up of so many different artists, DJ’s, content creators, photographers, chefs, brands and businesses, it was such a damn feel good day, all I could say was the experience was magical.
I was fortunate enough to do media courtesy of one of the sponsors INDY Music Group. Well take a look below as see what I captured;
